Hill & mountain walking
In Britain we are lucky to be blessed with some fantastic hills and mountains, just a few hours drive from anywhere in the country! From beautiful rolling countryside to spectacular mountain peaks, there are a life time of stunning days out and adventures right on our doorstep. However beautiful the british hills are, they can be a hostile environment and present real challenges to the unprepared and ill-equipped hill walker.
Stay safe and have fun, by getting trained up by Granite Trails instructors. You’ll learn about the right equipment (we would recommend checking with us before you buy, so you don’t waste money on the wrong thing), how to navigate using map and compass and GPS, hazards of hill/mountain travel, the weather and good route choice. All our staff are also experts on the mountain environment and you’ll learn about the flora/fauna, geology and local history of the area.
Remember everything we do is bespoke and tailored to your needs so here are some examples of what we do, but don’t hesitate to contact us if you can’t see exactly what you need.
